This tool predicts fire severity and climatic suitability for conifer seedlings to help prioritize reforestation activities in recent fires throughout the Southern Rocky Mountains, USA. The user can develop suitability maps based on current or future climate and (optionally) exclude steep slopes and places far from existing roads. Suitability maps are restricted to portions of the fire that are at least 200 feet from unburned or low-/moderate-severity areas, where natural regeneration is less likely.
